Women’s Upper Playground holiday hoodies are here! On Monday we dropped the new men’s hoodies from Upper Playground. Now let’s take a look at what’s new for the ladies.
4 Turnables by Sam Flores
Super SF by Joshua Prince
California by Jeremy Fish
We really like this shipment because they are all comfortable and simple, while bold and expressive at the same time. Characteristics of a true hoodie. For example, any woman will feel untouchable wearing Super SF by Joshua Prince. But it’s so simple you could wear it almost anywhere. These are hoodies that you can break-in like a new pair of sneakers and put in some serious usage. Really dope hoodies from Upper Playground as usual! Thanks guys!
Men’s holiday 2008 hoodiepeople.com. Our new Upper Playground hoodies are here and they are so sick! In no particular order these are the illest hoodies available. Anywhere! Sir Charles by Denis Kennedy, Air Graff by OBLVN, Westcoast Palm Readings by Patrick Martinez, California by superFishal, Super SF by Dust La Rock aka Joshua Prince, and 4 Turntables by Sam Flores. There is something new for everyone in this line of hoods from Upper Playground. All pieces are inspired by original artwork from extremely talented artists who defy the status quo. So, you know everything is fresh, exclusive, and unique.
Haven’t had enough of Upper Playground? They have loads of dope art to soak up. Check out Paul Insect at the Fifty24SF gallery, 252 Fillmore St. San Francisco, CA 94117 Nov 6th – Nov 27th. They also have a gallery in Portland Oregon for all our Northwest peoples at 23 NW 5th Ave.
Portland, OR 97209.
Over at the hoodiepeople photo group on flickr we reached a special milestone in the progression of the community. Earlier today the 100th person joined the group and the 300th hoodie pic was posted.
Its quite remarkable to look back at the unique contributions from all different people that have shared their hoodie pics.
Enjoy a brief look back from the very first pic to today. Special thanks to everyone who has posted their photos and a warm welcome to everyone that has recently joined.
hoodiepeople.com hearts graffiti artist Banksy in a major way. Banksy’s artistic talents are immense and his message is one that literally hits you in the face. On a separate meme I was recently introduced to notcot.org and founder Jean Aw in SF last week.
Notcot is a independent blog and community, described as a visual filtration of ideas + aesthetics + amusements. In the wide world of blogs, there are lots of semi pros like us, and there are a few real deal media producers, notcot.org is the realz.
When we heard notcot.org had released their first video, and it featured Banksy’s latest grand art project, the Village Petstore and Charcoal Grill exhibition, which is live in New York right now but ends on the 3st, well lets just say we were pretty exited.
Without further ado, check this amazing video featuring the amazing art of Banksy from the amazing blog notcot.org.
straight out of helsinki, finnland comes CTRL. this is one of the freshest skate inspired apparel lines available. CTRL began with three friends who loved to skate and wanted to turn their passion for skating into a career. Freeman is the designer/art director; Esa, the brand/sales manager; and Timothy, the sales/communications manager. they started with skateboard designs and now the company has grown to offer tee shirts, hoodies, jackets, denim, pants, and shorts.
everything is authentic, out-of-the-box, and highly-exclusive. CTRL means Ceasar, Tits, Radioactive, Lunar. now, if that isn’t different from what you expected I’m surprised. everything about this company is unique, while still maintaining a mass appeal. the designer, Freeman, say’s their clothing is inspired by African culture, the female body, color, humor, and skating. i would describe their products as fun, sexy, and timeless. check out Esa busting a funky fresh stalefish!
their clothing is also influneced by the extreme cold weather of Finnland. so, expect your CTRL hoodie to be stylish enough for the toughest fashion critics as well as super warm and well made. if you appreciate owners that are fully involved in their products you will love CTRL. props to Esa for the professionalism at MAGIC in Vegas and plugging hoodepeople.com.
having trouble paying for a Halloween costume this year? don’t worry if you’re broke. all you need is a hoodie and some creativity. the team over at alternative apparel has truly lived up to their brand name with these hoodies transformed into costumes! now introducing…”red riding hood, the big bad wolf, and black cat.”
there ya go. we just dropped three easy and affordable costume ideas. happy halloween!
