Huge new fall hoodie drop from Alpinestars. This years collection features bright bold colors, bold graphics, and core rider style throughout. We saw these hoodies a few months back at a show and were very excited about the style direction for the Astars line. Embracing the deep tradition of amazingly high quality pieces with major custom features is what give Astars a distinctive edge and huge base of loyal fans. Fall 2009 Astars is one of the best hoodie collections I have seen in a long time and we are really stoked to have them.

Big news from hoodiepeople HQ, we are very excited to announce the addition of Aaron “Dub” Dolores to the team in the new custom tailored role of Director of Promotions. Aaron has been a strong supporter of hoodiepeople since the very early days and now joins the team to manage the promotional side of the business. Aaron brings a wealth of energy, connections, and passion to the table and will be a key factor in the continued growth and evolution of our startup. Coming off two huge grassroots events that exceeded everyone’s expectations (Block Obama Party 2009 and My Two Hands Summer Groove Session) it will be very exciting to see what he can pull off next.
Taking a little trip back to early October 2008 we did a big photo shoot in SF right before we launched the site, Aaron was there as one of the original hp models. Big shots out to Laura, Dakota, Shake, and Shawn who also rocked the first shoot. So moving forward look out for a bigger hoodiepeople presence at local clubs, concerts, and most cool events, as well as some exclusive hoodiepeople parties coming up. We are hoping to build a huge online and offline base of hoodie people worldwide but it def all starts in the Bay, and Aaron will be the go to guy to get things rollin.

Big thanks to everyone who pre-booked their exclusive Twilight Hoodie Jacket through hoodiepeople.com. We have recently had a lot of our customers asking about when their Twilight Jacket will ship. So, here’s the latest update from the staff at BB Dakota.
Our massive order left their east coast shipping department on 7/15/09 and it’s scheduled for arrival in Petaluma on 7/22/09. As soon as they arrive our fulfillment department will be working hard to get them out-the-door within 24hrs.
Although they are about one week late, we are very excited about this update from BB Dakota as hoodiepeople.com is one of the only sites approved for a July delivery. While most fans will have to wait until August to get their jacket, our customers are getting theirs next week. Hopefully this delivery update addresses any concerns or questions from our customers as we do understand that pre-booking can be a bit stressful.

We definitely need to tip our hats to My Own Two Hands for their “Summer Groove Session” charity event last Friday night at 330 Ritch in San Francisco. By charging a $10-$15 cover fee they were able to raise an astonishing $5,800 for San Francisco nonprofit Opportunity Impact. They knocked this one out the park for sure and hoodiepeople.com was right in the mix by donating 15% of all hoodie sales at the event. Opportunity Impact helps youth living in San Fransisco’s housing projects develop the right tools to deal with obstacles in life. So, we couldn’t be more enthusiastic about our participation in the event. Here are a couple pics that we were able to snap:
Super stoked to launch DC Shoe Co., hoodies. In many ways DC created the game and has taken skate culture from SoCal to the entire world.
