They started in the 1970’s with a group of graffiti artist in New York from Riverside Park on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The name ‘Zoo York’ originates from an actual train that runs under the Central Park Zoo. Old School graffiti artists and locals refered to the tunnel as the Zoo York Tunnel and that is how the brand was named.
